You play the game, but you just can’t win With cowboys and hipsters for your best friends T minus five tell me how you survive What keeps you safe won’t keep you alive So c’mon Each day breaks like a loaded gun Sweet fall from grace Miss Golden One T minus four now it’s out on the floor Better be blood when you settle the score So c’mon Tramps come marching up the street Girl you never do it like you should Can’t stand still when you hear the beat Played by the bastard kids of Johnny B. Goode And you outta know C’mon baby shake your hips Tonight we dance the apocalypse So c’mon yeah C’mon pretty baby Tell me I’m crazy Tonight we dance like it’s the end of the world So baby c’mon C’mon pretty baby Tell me I’m crazy Tonight we dance like it’s the end of the world So baby c’mon C’mon pretty baby Tell me I’m crazy Tonight we dance like it’s the end of the world So baby c’mon yeah Hey Yeah Na na na na na na na na na na na na na

Are we gonna hang out before the end of the world? Are we gonna get down before we’re all underground? I don’t know. All I know – Is I can hang on if you won’t let go Will I cry tears of joy when I see your face? Will I be overcome, because we’re in the same place? I don’t know. All I know – Is I can hang on if you won’t let go Are we gonna hang out before the end of the world? Will a digital boy meet his internet girl? I don’t know. All I know – Is I can hang on if you won’t let go Before I go underground I wanna share the love I found It may be 2022 before I see the likes of you And when you’re trying to survive, oh just make it out alive And if your heart falls in distress, won’t you send an SOS? Are we gonna hang out before the end of the world? Are we gonna get down before we’re all underground? I don’t know. All I know – Is I can hang on if you won’t let go So tell me Are we gonna hang out? Are we gonna hang out? Are we gonna get down? Are we gonna get down? Are we gonna hang out? Are we gonna hang out? Are we gonna hang out before the end of the world?

I’ve been underwater so long That I must be aquatic. I must be aquatic I’m forcing the lights to turn on. I just feel so robotic. I feel so robotic I’ll tell you what I really need For you to show up and love me or just fucking leave I don’t know what’s worse when I breathe The shortness of breath or a desire to scream? And I’ve been doing a really good job A really good job A really good job not blowing my brains out Cuz I’ve been having a really bad year A really bad year, but I’m still fucking here Lately I’ve been going along Something is broken but I keep pressing on And the cracks they are starting to show Feel my head underwater, but I won’t let go And I’ve been doing a really good job A really good job A really good job not blowing my brains out Cuz I’ve been having a really hard year A really hard year, but I’m still fucking here And hey man, can I share the wealth? We’ll have a discussion about mental health We’ll call it a sign of the times It’s like everything’s burning We all lose our minds And I’ve been underwater so long I’ve been underwater so long I’ve been underwater so long I’m coming from the water And I’ve been doing a really good job A really good job A really good job not blowing my brains out Cuz I’ve been having a really hard year A really hard year, but I’m still fucking here And we’ve been doing a really good job A really good job A really good job not blowing our brains out Yeah, we’ve been having a really hard year A really hard year, but we’re still fucking here Yeah we’ve been underwater We’re gonna rise from the water We’ve been underwater We’re gonna rise from the water

Words pour out of me Oh how I want you baby But you’re pushing me away Pulling me apart The things that you say I want to believe them But then you turn away And I wonder in the dark If I could stay the summer Be with you for that time With a love of so many colors Left wasted on the vine Standing misconstrued In shades of calculating Starting to divide Subtract to what you do I hold in all my breath And stay in reading silence I see lovers in the night Reminding me of you If I could stay the summer Be with you for that time With a love of so many colors Left wasted on the vine Left wasted on the vine Show me what we have Explain the silver lining ’Cause I play it back again To haunt me in the night If I could stay the summer Be with you for that time With a love of so many colors Left wasted on the vine Left wasted on the vine

Touch & Go 03:36
I’m too old to deal with this bullshit but I’m too young to die Full-time avoiding commitment, truth reflects a lie Outside the summer is fading and I get no reprieve Cast off societal rhythms. I’m gonna do as I please I see you’re holding on too tight Suburban living is looking like a fistfight My sense of reality is touch and go I’m just saying out loud what you already know Sometimes you gotta swim with the sharks Go dancing in the dark I see you praying for an angel in your gilded cage? Counting up your sacrifices to make the minimum wage I heard your bird can sing, but it don’t sing like before You burned out your best connections can’t get back through the door Young lion crawling on his front paw I’m out here living like an outlaw And my sense of reality is touch and go I’m just saying out loud what you already know Sometimes you gotta swim with the sharks Go dancing in the dark My sense of reality is touch and go My sense of reality is touch and go All your logic it won’t change my mind oh no All those memories that you just can’t rewind Oh no oh no Too tired to ask for forgiveness, too young to die Filled up on expectations, too numb to cry It gets worse before it gets better False tears you pen a love letter And my sense of reality is touch and go I’m just saying out loud what you already know Sometimes you gotta swim with the sharks Go dancing in the dark My sense of reality is touch and go My sense of reality is touch and go My sense of reality is touch and go My sense of reality is touch and go

about

This is not your regularly scheduled Dan Miraldi album. This is a disclaimer to listeners expecting “Mood Music Part 3” or more power pop tales of dates in Alphabet City. With 15 Minutes of Fury, there are no “Helen of Troys” or “Buzzins” or “Record Collections.”

This collection is Dan riding off across a burned out apocalyptic musical hellscape. He brings with him a posse of trusty companions and gunslingers – Jeremy Radio (bass), Dominic Geralds (drums) and Ray Flanagan (lead guitar). On this abrasive journey of fuzzed out riffs, screams and distortion, Dan and his merry band not only confront the ashes of this fiery shadow world, but also explore the darkest demon monsters of the singer’s inner psyche.

You have been warned. This record is not for everyone. If you’re out, you’re out. That’s okay. We will maybe catch you next time. However, if you go on this journey with us, you will witness one of the singer’s finest hours and most gut-wrenching collection of songs. Proceed with caution.
